In addition, if you have to go back to the original NT/Win9x/Win2K CD for much of anything other than a priner or video driver, make certain to reapply the latest SP you'd applied to that point; the SPs only add the files needed or already present on the system, and going back to the original CDs may load components that would've been updated if they'd been in place when the SP was installed. Not reapplying the SPs can result in an unusable system, especially if you've added network components.
Finally, if you're using Small Business Server, do not apply the standard NT Service Packs - there are separate Service Packs for SBS, and installing the NT SPs can wreak some serious havoc, especially with things like RAS and Proxy Server.
