Ariel,
I thing the consensus was that SET FILTER was not a good command but that SEEK() was very useful.
I'm not sure what you mean exactly. In order to use SEEK() in a cursor you have to INDEX ON ... first, which is ok, but SET FILTER isn't really used in SEEKing on cursors at all.
>Hello all !
>I love the 'set filter', because it really saves time when i have to do any 'seek()' on cursors, in other case i have to do one 'select into cursor...' and do the 'seek()' on it...
>i tells to us because i have read the conversation '10 things to avoid in VFP development' and i dont know if im in the right way.
>Thanks in advance and sorry for my poor english!!! :)
