Thanks for the info, Franscois. I see from your message and the prices that Ed posted (thanks, Ed) that Sybase Anywhere is less than half of the cost of their ASE product. As far as the max size goes, 10 -1000 MB is bigger than anything that I am planning.
Sybase is apparently offering an older version of ASE on Linux as free for deployment. I would have to hear all the details from them before I based any plans on that.
