For the most part, I do not like white for text intensive backgrounds. That is, however, only one opinion and FWIW, one vote.

>Mouseover is fine. It's the difference between visited and not visited links. Maybe a different shade of blue for non-visited links. The other option is to make the background white. The color difference would be more prominant.
