Hmmm, if it's really using the FOXUSER.DBF that you expect, there MUST BE some other reason that prevents you from having your settings automatically come back. You've said you've tried deleting your FOXUSER.DBF (and I assume the corresponding .FPT), but if that doesn't work for you, than I have no idea what else would prevent it from working correctly for you.
