>>I would like to create a basic text file report on the fly. How does one send new line or carriage return line feed to the file using the STRTOFILE function. What I get by using CHR(13) is a file that when viewed shows black squares instead of line breaks. When printed I get an un printable character. I would like to keep this simple and us mail to send this file as an attachment, but cant get over this hurdle. Any help would be appreciated.

I am sending it as an attachment in outlook. Using quick view it shows OK with the CHR(13), but double clicking on it brings up the default txt viewer and it is all in one line. Sending it to printer dows what I described.
