That wd make sense, and that works fine for SELECTs done from the command window, but within a program I can;t seem to get it to work. And the documentation implies that the ON ESCAPE/SET ESCAPE business, when done from within an executing program, takes effect after the currently running command completes (i.e., after the SELECT is done).

Or maybe/probably I'm missing something?
