Just so I understand things correctly... Are you saying you get the same speed regardless of whether you are using a 33.6 dial-up or a T-1????

In a word, that is impossible, or, your T-1 connection at work is excuciatingly slow. Tell your network guy at work that you get the same performance, and watch him/her flip.
