I was able to get what I needed working. But then I had to scrap all the dynamic coloring, because the data I am developing has over 15,000 records and I noticed that when I moved to the bottom of the table, the grid slowed down to a crawl when you scrolled through the records. 15,000 records is a small number of records in this case, so after I removed the dynamic coloring, the speed was just fine.
