I think you made the same mistake as I do all the time and checked the wrong checkbox. You must check the rightmost checkbox before clicking on "Remove all marked messages". I wish that the second checkbox would disappear and that the first one would be used for both viewing and deleting.

I would also like that the option "Remove all messages" be back.
