I better start by asking which are you are using: VFP or FPW?
Literally, a container object is anything that can contain other controls. There are several in VFP: forms, grids, and the "container" which is basically an empty visual class that you can put other controls into. The icon in the Form Controls Toolbar is a white box with a grey one inside.
