IMO, John, I like seeing all the messages, since sometimes you get an idea about a question asked a couple of days earlier.

MY ideal interface would be to see the messages in reverse chronological order (as in the original table format) but showing the category information. That way it would still be easy to see only the newest messages but you'd also have the category information.
