For that particular form, I use a series of textboxes, editboxes and image controls. I fill those controls and control their scrolling manually but the stability and flexibility offsets the inconvenience of 'doing it myself'. Note: I don't do this as a general rule. I mostly use the native grid control but this application had requirements that the native grid control couldn't handle.

>What have you been using instead of the grid? I like the grid navigation but still the grid seems to be a little "fragile". I have basically built some containers of textboxes that seem to be filling the bill but I am having to fight some of the dynamic refresh issues that occur in a grid. (seems that you have to move focus from a grid and back again to really refresh the rows but haven't given up on those issues yet.) Am going to give them two grids. One with a little less detail and more jobs per page and a second with four lines of textboxes in one cell and fewer rows per page.
