Sorry about that. I use that method for passwords. I compare an encrypted value of the password entered by the user to the encrypted value stored in the users table.

My encryption method for values I need to recover involves the use of the ctobin() and bintoc() functions + some math to encrypt/decrypt strings I need to recover.
