>>Don't forget VBSCRIP5.CHM. I think I found them by hunting around. I think I did a search of the CHM files, but may have done on on SHELL*.CHM and WSH.CHM. Can't remember how I found the VBScript thing though. Of course, it may have been that Ed Rauh pointed them out to me. How he know? Sometimes I think he knows everything.:-)

But I can take simple code that I know runs in VFP, massage it to be JScript and put it into the web page script and it won't run. Wonder if it's trying to tell me something? Think I'll poke around at MS on this question before I beat my head on the wall any more.

>Speaking of beating one's head on the wall, reading Ed's posts for me is a real bittersweet, love/hate sort of thing. Great to get all the information he provides, but your basic idiot trying to absorb all that info ... well, sometimes it's just "what's the use?" :-)

Well, it could be worse - you've never dealt with me in stream-of-conciousness mode, trying to describe code over the phone to someone whiledrugged up on painkillers and anihistamines. If you think my messages are incomprehensible at times...

A couple of WROX Press books that might be helpful to you - VBScript Programmer's Reference and Instant JavaScript give some concrete examples of using WSH components in ASP, and ADSI ASP Programmer's Reference is a real eye-opener.
