Thoroughly read "Chapter 15:Optimizing applications - Optimizing applications for multiuser environments" for details in online document.

For network traffic it's wise to put exe and tmpfiles on local directories. You could just put "data" on server. It depends on various installations how to optimize. At least direct your tmpfiles to local drives.
