I have an application that calls a VFP Remote Com object that sets on a server here in the office (there is no firewall here)

A client runs an application that access this remote com. He recently installed a firewall and now the remote com does not work.

Does anyone know what needs to be done to his firewall so that the remote com will work? BTW, he can Ping the server.

I didn't write the remote com and admittedly know very little about remote automation but I am learning.

Someone mentioned a "port" number. Could this be the key?
