I know how irritating and sensitive this particular topic is with
developers (and understandably so).... but I felt so sick
this morning when I saw 2 posts in UT regarding "the future"...

2 months ago, before I stumbled upon this little VFP project, I was
looking into Delphi and INTERBASE sql back end. I joined
a listserve of Interbase developers around the world, and
one week later, that list serve was EXPLODING with dismay
and angst over news that the key players supporting Interbase
product had left Inprise.. with all sorts of ensuing threads
about the product going OPEN SOURCE.

I am at a point in my life where I feel like some black cloud of
a curse hangs over my head, such that any product that I turn my
attention to or spend time and money on will suddenly become
obsolete. It has happened to me several other times in my life,
with Revelation, with Dataease.. etc.

So my humblest apologies for broaching the grim subject.

I would be greatful for that comforting URL of good-tidings
and cheer to which you aluded.
