I used the config.fpw file, but ran into an odd situation. I had a modal form that can up soliciting the location of the data directory the user needed. With the screen off, VFP blew right by the form. I finally figured out that I needed to add _VFP.visible = .T.in the form.INIT(), just before RETURN .T.

Any other suggestions, I might consider?
