Crystal Reports works very well with VFP 5.0 and up. If you are using previous versions of VFP Crystal reports is not an attractive alternative. You can use CR in 4 different ways:

- The crystal reports activeX control
- The CPEAUT32.DLL automation server
- The new RDC automation server in combination with the smartviewer activeX control
- Via API calls

Personally find the first automationserver the most convenient one.

CR is far more flexible than the native VFP report writer and allows exporting the reports to various formats (Word, Excell, HTML, RTF, etc)

I am thinking of switching to some other report generator module. Crystal reports seems to be the most popular one in the market. Can any body shed any light on whether I can use it with foxpro? How good/reliable it is and things of that sort.
