From a VFP client you can use the RDS DataSpace control to call methods on a VFP COM object. The VFP COM object will run your queries and return the results as an ADO recordset. On the client, you'll have to convert the ADO RS to a cursor so you can bind to VFP controls.

If your not using VFP data, you'll have to go through OLEDB or ODBC.
