I am in the same situation.
My concern is that the Update wizard (or whatever it is called to update a project from version to version) in 6.0 will handle 5.0 projects better than 7.0 and 7.0 will handle 6.0 better than it handles 5.0. I just think that the testers will concentrate on moving up one version and not two. So I fear that going from 5.0 to 7.0 might be a problem. Time will tell.
