The 'Package and Deployment' wizard I have appears to be intended for just VB, and there is limited information about it. I have Visual Studio Professional 6. Are you referring to something that comes in only the Enterprise edition? According to my documentation, the Enterprise edition comes with a deployment package for VFP.

>It is TOTALY seperate..and about 100 times better than the VFP setup wizard, as the new one uses windows installer technology and is win2000 ready.
>I'm using it with great success with VFP. I did create a 'Merge Module' for VFP for it, but since then Microsoft has released there own.

>It is also a lot faster to make the setups because you don't have to move a bunch of junk around like you do with the VFP one...aka the \distrib mess is eleminated.

>It is also pretty simple to use. I played around with it for about and hour without ready squat about it and had it figured out. Plus...hehehehe...it's free if you have VS...which seems to fit in the budget well.

>>So the Visual Studio installer is separate from VFP's setup wizard? Is this the 'Package and Deployment' wizard? The docs indicate it's used for VB. Does it work with VFP, too?

>>And, if it allows for an uninstall from the Control Panel, then it should be sufficient enough, unless I ever want to have a glitzy splash screen and other installation features.

>>>You might want to examine the Visual Studio Installer. The users have to goto the control pannel to uninstall..but it works quite well.
>>>Another one to checkout would be the Wise for Windows installer. Someday when I've got an extra $800 I'm gonna buy it.
