I like the Visual Studio Installer because it super fast to create your setups, and as I said it uses the new Windows Installer technology, which does a 'transaction' type of install which allows the user to resume it if it hoses for some reason and does rollback, plus the uninstall is very clean.
I have played around with a few of the 3rd party ones, including Install Shield, and basicly what I decided is that the WISE for Windows Installer is the best. I have a URL at the office that does a big compare on all the big popular ones (which I will post here tommorow) and it just seems that the WISE one does the most, but heck..the sucker is like 800 bucks!
To answer your question.. "is it worth it"..well, for ME, not really. The next app that I mass produce...maybe.
