This thread is very confused. I think that we've misunderstood what you are asking. The answers you've been given relate to deleting the default textbox in a column visually in the class designer.

Do you want to delete the default textbox in text? Are you building your column in code? Or are you adding the new textbox class visually?

Please post a code snippet if it is programmatic, otherwise, you've been give the precise steps for doing it visually, and I don't see what else to say on that score.
