I am trying to avoid creating view or basing my grid on query and my question is : How can I order child records in grid by another index and not by SSN. I tryied using datainv properties,cursor properties,data properties of the grid and so far nothing is working. Please help....

Personally, I would use a view .... but try creating an index for WORKHIST as:

SSN + DTOC(SDATE)

This assumes SSN is character. Use that index for your relation and grid ordering.
