Sorry I did not get back to you sooner. I usually only check the UT when I am looking for something.

The grand PWD plan is threefold.
1. Build three lane track.
2. Intergrate timing device using mechanical switches.
3. Program in VFP a system to ...
a. Check boys in
b. Select three for the race
c. Record times for each boy.
d. Have each boy race each lane.

Winner is determined by lowest total elapsed time, not number of first place wins. This should eliminate parents who complain about "fast lane".

So far progress is great. I have most of the coding done and the track is about half finished. If you are interested in a set-up for your pack, drop me an e-mail to my personal account and I will send you plans and source code.
