Mike,

The < g > was a knowing one. By that I mean that I know (boy do I know) what it's like to play a bad guitar. As I said, I've played the Epiphone Les Paul, and it's definetly not in that category.

One thing that you've got to realize (and probably do) is that getting a better guitar isn't going to make you a better guitarist, anymore than getting a better computer will make you a better programmer. With the quality of instrument that you've got, you probably can get everything in terms of sound that your talent and current level of ability has. As you get better, it may be (but not necessarily) that a better instrument will help.

I put money aside from writing the articles for Advisor to get the SPD-16R just as when I was younger I saved for the Gretsch. The C-1R I got only because my house got broken into and my classical got smashed to bits in the process. Don't be jealous of that.

Anyway, enough of the lecture, let's go play guitar.:-)
George
