OK, after further investigation, I've found a solution.
According to one of the FAQ's here, the list of support files required for a Visual FoxPro 6 application includes [amongst others] the following DLLs:
compobj.dll
ole2.dll
ole2disp.dll
storage.dll
Using a WISE script, we were placing these files in the System32 directory of Windows NT.
As a result, MS Office 4 refused to run [with the error given in my previous message].
If I replace these DLLs with the ones on the Windows NT CD [as per knowledge base article Q191690] both Office and our VFP application appear to work OK.
Has anyone else seen this ?
What version of these DLLs should we be installing ?
Best.
Matt.
