In Version 2.1, I didn't understand what a "Foundation Read" was. So even though I completed development of what was then called a "Modeless" system (really cutting edge at the time)I decided I shouldn't call myself a FoxPro Developer. I found out later that nobody knew what a "Foundation Read" was. My opinion is JUST DO IT.
