I have worked with Contractors that have used Foxpro for 10 years, and didn't know the form designer from a MESSAGEBOX(). (Ok, I'm exaggerating). Point is, there is not really a magical level of readiness. You have been working with VFP a lot longer than me, and I have been consulting for two years. Most of us decide that we are ready when a contract offer comes through the door.
