I just distributed a new version of my application compiled under service pack 3. I also redistributed all the necessary runtime files. Since then, my NT clients who use the HP 6L get an error that says "error loading print driver". However, they can preview and then print from there. I have had one hardware tech correct the problem by adjusting the "transmission retry" on the NT machine that serves the printer. However, I have other offices that serve the printer on a Win98 machine that does not have that setting. They are using the latest HP driver for NT. I know switching to the MS driver would probably fix the problem, but I cannot have all my clients switch drivers. (makes me look bad if Word can print, but my App cannot). Before SP3 I had to reset the numeric processor everytime I accessed the print driver in order to use HP drivers. Is something similar happening here? Anyone have a similar situation?
