Hi Robin,

If you are unsure about contracting why not take on some small projects out of hours and see how you do. If you feel confident after doing this and your work is well received then go for it!!!

Take a risk; what have you got to lose? (Says me that still works permanently!!!)

One sign that'll indicate if you're ready is if a Contractor that you're working with knows less about FoxPro than you and keeps picking your brains.

I think that most Contractors are no different to anyone else, other than the fact that they have confidence in their own abilities (or are really good at bluffing).

I've worked with some really great Contractors and some really hopeless ones, so if you're a good Programmer then you shouldn't have any worries, especially when it come to being referred for other Contracts.

BTW how is the FoxPro scene in the UK? I've been considering working in the UK for some time now and would be interested to know how extensively FoxPro is used in the UK. (I hold a British Passport).
