We are currently working on a project with multiple programmers. We do have sourcesafe in place, and it is working OK, but I have a question. As everyone knows one of the limitations of sourcesafe is that you can't have more than one checkout on a binary file, which happen to be most of the items in VFP. I was searching through the KB, and thought I had stumbled across an article that said you could set your project up differently using a .PJM file instead of a .PJX. It sounded as if the .PJM was actually a text file that kept track of changes to things on your local copy and compared you .PJM to a "master" .PJM inside of sourcesafe itself, and only copies back changes that you have made to any file binary or not. Am I totally off base or not? Has anyone found a better way of working with multiple users and binary files? As it stands right now, if I need to work on class library or something like that, I have to wait until the person currently working on it checks it back in. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Brian
