Title:
Why does VFP6 ignore printer settings stored in EXPR field ?
The EXPR field of the first record in a FRX table is used by VFP to store printer settings, including such things as printer tray, orientation, etc..
In VFP5 our application would successfully print the same document multiple times from different printer trays. The sequence we are using is as follows:
1. copy report file from network server to local PC.
2. print report 1st time
3. open local report file as table and edit EXPR field,
replacing a new value DEFAULTSOURCE=nn
4. close the FRX table and print report a 2nd time;
this time it prints from a different tray.
This was working very well in VFP5. In VFP6 this no longer works.
Has anyone else noticed this? Can someone tell me how to fix this?
Thanks in advance!
