Thanks for your help. I tried your suggestions and it continued to fail. I was assigning an Select statement to a grid
(recordsource) from with code and it didn't seem to like the 00000 field for some reason, so I did the command in 2 separate steps
by first building the table then assigning the table name to the recordsource property and it worked.
