For the first, the newsgroup ALT.COMPUTER.CONSULTANTS used to have a standard contract posted on a pretty regular basis.

For the second, and I don't particularly want to reopen a can of worms here, I just paid for a premier account after lurking here for about a year. I have not been sure whether I was going to continue working in VFP or shift my focus to Java. I finally decided that I was using the UT on a regular basis and l feel that to not support it would be against my personal policy. I have found that not supporting shareware or buying books from valuable authors means that they will disappear rather than continue to be valuable tools. Some people think that the value here is created by the users and while I agree I must say that in my experience if this forum disappears and a new community forms elsewhere there will be people lost in the shuffle. I am willing to invest in keeping this site available.
