I can't believe we are talking about an array that's not visible where it's called for days.
Do you have a grd_info.prg on disk ? I think so and probably it's returning just a logical causing nothing to be displayed on grid. Otherwise I expect those lines to return with a error "Grd_info.prg not found". You really don't need a refresh.
For a quick check, copy grd_info array definition from form.init to the same place you change grid.
