This is new to me, but it sounds to like it has created a generic sql connection. It has the driver but its asking you to make the connection every time you access a table. If you create a new sql connection within ODBCthen you can enter the connection details correctly.

I hope this helps.

(You may already be experienced in ODBC connection and I'm teaching you how to suck eggs! ;-) )
