Q1: yes that was an EPA guy shutting down the Ghostbusters in the movie. What a dork that guy was. :)

Q2: We are called the Lone Star State. Our State flag has a blue band running down the left side with a single [lone] star in the center. To the right of the blue band is a white band in the upper half and a red band in the lower half.

I also think [not sure] the State Fair has a very large ferris wheel amusement ride that is called the Star of Texas.
