Thanks Rob. I pro'ly should have said, as well
that these are, again, batch mode programs and
typically I either just update the FoxPro desktop
(if I'm using that term correctly) or put up a
therm bar. In either case I'm only updating once
every few seconds (based on a record count).

Even on a 16 bit video card with 1M or 2M I just
can't see @SAY's having any significant or even
measurable impact on processing whether full
screen or smaller.

I do imagine that Ed's comment about running the
program minimized might have some impact.

What say U?
