>Okay. I am finally ready to put all these pieces together and make my first application work, and I am all ears about suggestions.
>I have a main form with a static menu. All other forms (except for login) should remain within this form, and are set to 'in main form'.
>All forms use private datasessions.
>All of the data is stored on the server.
>The program call FoxFire! as its report writer.
>I would like to have my own icon and my own splash screen.
>I need for the program to run completely on it's own, as I CANNOT install VFP on all users' machines.
>Unfortunately, I cannot find a step by step to do these things. All of my code works inside VFP, but I can't find where to do the most critical tasks. Most of the documentation seems to refer to running apps under VFP, or just says "And then click 'Build' to build your .exe"
>It seems that my desired setup would be one of the most common ones that programs are built for. Why is it so difficult to do things like this? When I click my .exe, it opens Foxpro.
>Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm lost in the woods here. I have three or so VFP books, and none of them details how to set up the app in my environment.
>Any suggestions or pointers toward helpful literature are welcome.

when your app first runs, it will open a window called visual foxpro. if you don't change the _screen.caption, it will stay that way and appear to be running your prog from within visual foxpro...
