Are you sure it isn't the number of ads that is determining the number of pages of content? Have you counted the number of ad pages now and two years ago? I don't have a recent issue, so I can't do it, but I'd suspect that the ad count space is down in a similar ratio to the change in content pages. That's pretty standard in the publishing business.
