>I have to add my point of view here... I've been a codebook user for a long time. I found the learning curve incredibly steep, but once I figured out the basics I will never abandon it. The flavor of Codebook I use is Mere Mortals. It offers quite a bit of flexibility and provides a rich set of builders for rapid development. It is entirely n-tier. Even if you are developing a single tier application, the business logic is contained in the business rules; which can be easily compiled into COM objects. Almost every aspect of the framework can be customized to fit your needs, and the documentation is superb.
VFE used to be a codebook flavor. Even now in 6.0 it keeps many of the new Codebook concepts, like the i-layer.
