Hi John,
Thanks for your feedback!
Well, type libraries are indeed a bit difficult to support in VFP as we don't have the LOCAL xx AS command Microsoft showed for VFP 7 at DevCon. :)
When I've some time I'll expand ISX to support object references within the form and class designer including supporting WITH...ENDWITH, but currently it doesn't look like I've this time soon.
>As a piece of code for learning how to interact with the editor, I give it a 10.
Well, it started as something similar. I wanted to see whether IntelliSense-like popup lists in the editor are possible in VFP, or not. Since I usually use rather long variable names, for me personally it really helps avoiding typos, but for someone like you who often works in different environments and is much more oriented to COM technologies, it probably make less sense.
>I personally don't like the idea of making one preface their variables with m.
Neither did I. But I develop generic code for other VFP developers and for reusability in an environment that you don't have control over, "m." is necessary in VFP. I got burned by this, identified not using "m." as the fault and a major risk and changed my behavior. *s*
