>I am running some tests involving large datasets using VFP as a front end to SQL Server. I'm using remote views and the generated temp files are too large for the local drives on the development machine (its a laptop with about a gig of free space, I would have to delete Half Life to get any more space and thats NOT an option :)).

But I only want to do this when I'm testing so I go back and reset it to my local drive after I finish. Anyone know where the setting is kept so I can write a prg file to set/reset it on the fly? I assume it must be a reg key since it doesn't appear as a system variable when I disp memo. Thanks.

It should be set through the CONFIG.FPW; while there is a registry key, it's only applicable in the development environment. The special configuration item TMPFILES in CONFIG.FPW should be used to make the necessary change in a controllable fashion.
