Ken, I do this a lot and it really saves time for the user (not having to rebuild the form). I've sized all of my main forms exactly the same so I don't even have to hide the ones that are not active.

I'm happy with this approach.

I just started opening all of my tables for update in DS 1 and the problem went away.

What version are you using? I had the impression that this would be fixed in 6.0.
