In a context such as AFIELDS() where everything is converted to caps, I would have to look twice. I would guess that 80-90% of my integer fields are key fields. So I can't be certain whether IYEAR is a FK or a year value without stopping to think whether I have a YEAR table.

This stuff is mostly personal preference and I'm not trying to convert anyone. Just wanted to show that I do have a fairly logical and consistent approach to naming.
