Hi John,

I have two technical sessions at SQL Connections on MSDE and on SQL Server optimization. I agonized on the issue of using VFP as the front-end for demos and came to the conclusion that the attendees were going to get more out of showing VB or Access demonstrations because that is what 8-9 out of 10 of them have to deal with on the front-end (if they do any coding at all).

I might use VFP for my MSDE session because the topic has nothing to do with what you use on the front-end but I'm almost certain to use VB for my other session because it's ADO stuff.

>As far as not mentioning VFP all that much, what is the big deal here? Remember, you need to keep the audience in mind. Most don't use VFP. To be perfectly honest, my session is going to use Visual Basic. Why? For starters, there is a VFP conference going on. Anybody who wants to see VFP can go there. Also, my audience will for the most part use VB.
