My application in FP 2.6 uses DDE calls to either MS-Word or Word Perfect. The client upgraded to WP9 in the Fall, to be Y2K compliant. The DDE activitiy is a simple mail merge. Happens under Windows 95 and NT.

On 1/3/00 the WP9 DDE function stopped working (opened WP9, did not do the merge). After much frustration, I set the PC system date to 12/30/99 and the DDE call worked fine and th email merged. Meanwhile, the merge via MS-Word works for both 1999 and 2000. The client's network and support consultants say it is FoxPro's error. My counter is 'Then why does it work with MS-Word in 2000?' No response yet.

Has anyone else had problems with DDE in FP 2.6. [And no, the client does not want to pay for upgrading to VFP.]
